The Maghreb Wore the Future First explores the influence North African fashion and design have had on the visual language of science fiction films, while bringing the focus back to the women and creatives behind those traditions. Through otherworldly imagery and dress, the editorial constructs an imagined future shaped by North African visual traditions, centering the women who have sustained and transformed them alongside a new generation of designers who are now carrying them forward.
